YONCA(MEDÄ°CAGO SATÄ°VA)
1. TANIMI VE ÖNEMİ
Yonca çık yıllık otsu bir bitkidir. Boyu 50-80 cm dir. Derin bir kök sistemi vardır. Uygun koşullarda 8-10 metre derine gider. Etkili kök derinliği 120-180 cm dir.
Yonca önemli bir yem bitkisidir. Otlatılmaya da oldukçæ dayanıklıdır. Bu nedenle mer’aların ıslahında diÄŸer bitkilerle karışıma giren ve mer’anın kalitesini arttıran bir bitkidir. Ahır besiciliÄŸinde et ve özellikle süt verimini % 30′lara kadar artıran ve yem bitkileri içerisinde en çok besleyicilik deÄŸeri olan yoncada, içerisinde 10 kadar vitamin de vardır.
2. Ä°KLÄ°M VE TOPRAK Ä°STEKLERÄ°
2.1 Ä°klim Ä°steÄŸi
Yoncanın Alaska ve Sibirya gibi çok soğuk bölgelerde yetişen türleri olduğu gibi en sıcak bölgelerde de yetişen türleri vardır. Sıcak olan gün sayısı ne kadar fazla ise biçim sayısı ve buna bağlı olarak ot v erimi de o oranda artar.
2.2 Toprak Ä°steÄŸi
Yoncanın en iyi yetiÅŸtiÄŸi topraklar; tınlı, kumlu-tınlı, kumu çok fazla olmayan ve yeter derecede kireç içeren topraklardır. Taban suyu yüksek ve PH’nın 6.5 dan aÅŸağı olmaması gerekir. Yoncanın normal ürün verebilmesi için toprağın fosfor ve potas kapsamı bakımından iyi olması gerekir.
3. YETİŞTİRME TEKNİĞİ
3.1 Ekim Nöbeti
Bölgemizde ekim nöbeti şekli: Buğdaygiller + 2.ürün + Yonca (5 yıl) + Pamuktur.
3.2 Çeşit
Bölgemizde Kayseri yoncası populasyonundan seleksiyon yoluyla adaptasyonu yapılmış olan elçi yoncası çeÅŸidi ekilmektedir. Bölgemizde GAP Bölge Kalkınma Ä°daresi BaÅŸkanlığı’nın 1987-1992 yılları arasında Åžanlıurfa Koruklu Tarımsal AraÅŸtırma Ä°stasyonunda yaptırmış olduÄŸu deneme sonuçlarına göre P.5929 Y, CUF-101, Elçi ve Diabloverde gibi çeÅŸitler tavsiye edilmektedir. Bu çeÅŸitler kış aylarında da büyümelerini sürdürerek, ilkbahar büyümesine erken baÅŸlamakta ve Nisan ayı sonu-Mayıs ayı baÅŸlarında ilk biçime gelebilmektedir.
Bu çeşitlerden yılda 2,000 kg/da dolaylarında toplam kuru madde verimi elde edilmektedir. Çeşitlerden ilk ekim yılında 5 biçim, kinci ve üçüncü yıllarda 6-7 biçim alınabilmektedir.
3.3 Toprak Hazırlığı
Yoncanın derin köklü bir bitki olması nedeniyle sonbaharda derin işlenmesi gerekir. İlkbaharda ise kültivatör ve diskaro çekildikten sonra tapan geçirilerek iyi bir tohum yatağı hazırlanmalıdır.
3.4 Ekim
Bölgemiz koÅŸullarında en uygun ekim ilkbahardır. Nisan ayının ilk yarısında ve toprakta iyi bir tav mevcut iken ekim yapılmalıdır. Ekim elle serpme olarak yapılacak ise 2-2.5 kg/da, mibzerle ekim yapılacak ise 1-1.5 kg dekara tohum kullanılmalıdır. Elle serpme ekimde tohum ince elenmiÅŸ kumla 1/1 oranında karıştırılarak atılmalıdır. Mibzerle ekimde sıra arası en az 20 cm olmalıdır. Bölgemizde GAP Bölge Kalkınma Ä°daresi BaÅŸkanlığı’nın 1993-1996 yılları arasında Åžanlıurfa Koruklu Tarımsal AraÅŸtırma Ä°stasyonunda yaptırmış olduÄŸu “GAP Bölgesinde Yoncanın (Madicago sativa L.) Ot Verimi Yönünden En Uygun Ekim Zamanı ve Tohumluk Miktarının Saptanması” üzerine yapılan araÅŸtırmalar sonucunda; Pioneer-5929 çeÅŸidinden, sonbahar ekimlerinden yıllara göre ortalama olarak 7453-13292 kg/da arasında yeÅŸil ot, 1897-3159 kg/da kuru ot ve 463-712 kg/da arasında ise ham protein verimleri elde edilmiÅŸtir. Bu sonuçlar doÄŸrultusunda, GAP Bölgesinde sulu koÅŸullar altında, sonbahar ekimlerinde kış soÄŸuklarının yoncada yonca da fide dönemlerinde zarar vermesini önlemek amacıyla mümkün olduÄŸunca erken ekim yapılmasının ve 3 kg/da tohumluk kullanılmasının uygun olacağı söylenebilir.
İlkbahar ekimlerinden, yıllara göre ortalama olarak 6177-13255 kg/da yeşil ot verimi, 1517-3205 kg/da kuru ot verimi ve 380-702 kg/da arasında ise ham protein verimleri elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre; GAP Bölgesi sulu koşullarında, Mart ayında yapılan ekimlerde 3 kg/da tohumluk kullanılmasının uygun olacağı, bunun yanında Nisan ayı başlarında yapılacak ekimlerde ise 2 kg/da fazla tohumluk kullanılmasının gereksiz olacağı izlenimi edinilmiştir.
Yonca tohumları ekimden önce bakteri kültürü ile aşılanmalıdır. 100 kg yonca tohumuna 1 kg bakteri kültürü karıştırılmalıdır.
3.5 Gübreleme
Yoncaya ekimle birlikte 4 kg N ve 23 kg P2O5 verilmelidir. Yani 15 kg %26 lık A.nitrat veya 20 kg %21 lik Amonyum sülfat ile 50 kg %42-44 lük triple süper fosfat gübresi diskarfo çekilmeden önce toprağa serpme olarak atılır.
Azotlu gübre yalnız ilk yıl verilir. Fosforlu gübre ise her yıl sıra arasına banta verilerek çapa ile toprağa karıştırılmalıdır.
Şanlıurfa Araştırma Enstitüsünün yaptığı bir çalışmada 4 yılı P2O5 ihtiyacı olan 92 kg/da fosforu ekimle birlikte bir defada verilebileceği belirlenmiştir.
3.6 Sulama
Bir yılda 6-8 kez biçim yapılabilmekte ve yıllık su tüketimi sıcak yörelerde 2500 mm ye kadar varmaktadır. Nisan,Mayıs ve Eylül aylarında 15 gün arayla, Haziran, Temmuz ve Ağustos aylarında ise 10 günde bir sulanmalıdır. Her sulamada toprağın 0-120 cm si tarla kapasitesine getirilecek şekilde su verilmelidir. Yonca sulamasında dikkat edilecek önemli bir husus her biçimden sonra mutlaka sulanmalıdır. Sulamalar uzun tava veya yağmurlama metoduyla yapılmalıdır.
3.7 Bakım
Temiz bir yonca tarlasına sahip olmanın en doğru yolu temiz ve küskütsüz tohum ekmek ve tarlayı ekimden önce yabancı otlardan temizlemektir. İlk yıl yoncanın gelişmesi için gerektikçe çapa yapılmalıdır. Diğer yıllarda ise tarlanın yabancı otlardan temizlenmesine özen gösterilmelidir.
3.8 Hastalıkları, Zararlıları ve Mücadelesi
Yoncanın en önemli hastalık etmeni virüstür. Virüsten sakınmak için en etkili önlem, sertifikalı tohum, daha önceden virüsle bulaşık olmayan toprak ve temiz sulama suyu kullanılmalıdır.
Yoncanın en önemli iki zararlısı yaprak biti (Püseron) ve yonca hortumlu böceğidir. Yoncanın en büyük düşmanı küsküt otudur. Küsküt, ince sarı sülükleri ile yoncanın gövdesini sararak besinini alır,zayıf düşmesine yol açar. Küsküt görüldüğü zaman tohum bağlamadan yonca biraz dipten biçilmeli veya küsküt az ise elle toplanıp yakılmalıdır.
3.9 Hasat, Harman ve Depolanması
Otu için yetiştirilen yoncanın en uygun biçim zamanı %10 çiçeklenme devresidir. Biçim yüksekliği 8-10 cm olmalıdır. Son biçim daha yüksekten yapılmalıdır. Biçimden sonra yoncanın hayvanlarda şişkinlik yapmaması için güneşte 1-2 gün soldurularak verilmesi gerekir.
Yoncanın depolanıp saklanacak ise fazla kurutulmadan ve balyalanarak saklanmalıdır. Yonca fazla kurutulursa hem yaprakların dökülmesi hem de A vitamini kaybına yol açar.
Yonca sılajı da yapılabilir. %25-50 çiçeklenme döneminde biçilip silolanmalıdır.
4. VERÄ°M VE MALÄ°YET
Bölgemizde biçim sayısı 6-8 kez olabilmektedir. Ortalama dekara yaş ot verimi 10-12 ton, kuru ot verimi ise 1.8-2.2 tona yaklaşmaktadır.
